Let’s be honest, 2016 wasn’t the easiest year for a lot of us. 2016 was one of those “years of change”, and while quite a bit is changing and revolving around me, it became harder for me to stay stable and grounded. The best way to combat feelings of insecurity and self-doubt has always been to make myself look my best. As I said in my post about The Beauty Project, nothing makes me feel more like a warrior than full face of makeup. Sometimes, you just fake it till you make it…
I bought this concealer during the Sephora VIB sale, about a month ago. Since then I’ve worn it almost every single day-I’m talking all 30 of them. DNA, accompanied with extreme lack of sleep and longer work hours, have created bluey- purpely circles around my eyes which are almost impossible to get rid of. My faithful , MAC Prolongwear and Hourglass Hidden Correcting Concealer weren’t doing the job. Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Concealer Creme in Deep 35 to the rescue.
This concealer hides anything. Long working day, too many margaritas, flu- you name it, it’s gone. I use this concealer all over my under-eye area and to highlight on the chin and forehead. With the proper setting powder, this lasts about 5-6 hours on my oily skin. If you need to hide any discoloration or tattoo, this would be a good choice but do not get as bright of a shade. Try to aim closer to your skin tone.
No doubt this concealer is in my top 10 product discoveries of the year, and an addition to my daily routine. Next on the list are her Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and Lock-it Tattoo Foundation. *pulls credit card out of the freezer*.
