Ok, so the title’s a little dramatic. But this stuff is worth the hype.
A few months ago, I received a product from Oudiad called the Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Oil. The packaging is beautiful, the size is decent, but the description–and the price–had me a little wary.

The Claims:
A foaming, water-activated cleanser with an advanced oil base that gently removes dirt and build-up while restoring essential moisture. Soothing shampoo features Proprietary CR-4 Repair Complex™—including nutrient-rich mafura butter and kalahari melon seed oil—to envelope the hair shaft with a cushion-like coating of concentrated fatty acids that are vital to rebuilding, nourishing, and protecting hair in need of repair. Specifically formulated for dry, damaged hair, silk proteins and coconut oils bind to the cuticle to sustain hydration and resist damage while enhancing body and shine.
HOW on earth could a shampoo–ahem excuse me, cleansing oil– be cleansing yet moisturizing and protecting? No clue, but this stuff does it. I tested this on my hair after I had braids in for about 10 days. Disclaimer: after having braids in, whether it be for 7 days or 12 weeks, it’s still incredibly difficult to get rid of the buildup in your hair without stripping it of even the faintest whisper of moisture. This cleansing oil restored my hair fully from buildup, without a rough exfoliation. My hair even feels a bit stronger after washing with it. While it doesn’t foam up as much as a cleansing shampoo “typically” would, it does have all the earthy-girl friendly boxes ticked: gluten-free, paraben-free, mineral oil free. I rate this stuff a 10 out of 10, even with the price being a bit steep. That VIB sale is coming up in just a couple of weeks…
im really gonna try this out, my hair is so dry and ive been looking for something that will really work. thanks so much! ❤

No problem girl! It’s hard to find a clarifying, gentle shampoo, and this is definitely it!
